About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Southern Health-Santé Sud. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents and patients with their personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents and patients.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized program.
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably caring for elderly or disabled clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy clients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
