We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our team in Vernon, BC. As a Substance Use Specialist, you will work with youth aged 12 to 24 and their families to provide psychosocial interventions and connections. This role is part of our high-functioning and well-integrated Youth Mental Health and Substance Use team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, treatment, and service coordination for clients with moderate to severe substance use concerns and/or concurrent disorders.
- Function as a primary clinician utilizing specialized treatment modalities/therapies for individuals, groups, and families.
- Collaborate with the Hospitals & Communities Integrated Services (HCIS) healthcare team and the MHSU multi-disciplinary team to ensure timely and responsive treatment and clinical supports.
Requirements:
- Advanced practice level experience in mental health and substance use treatment.
- Strong assessment and treatment skills, with the ability to work with complex clients and co-occurring disorders.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients from diverse backgrounds.
