Job Title: Substance Use Team LeadAbout the Role:

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled and experienced Substance Use Team Lead to join our Regional Prevention Overdose Outreach team in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside.

The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate the delivery of daily activities for Substance Use services, utilizing human resources policies and procedures to recruit and select staff. Additionally, they will develop policies and procedures, coordinate care, and facilitate case planning.

About Our Team:

Our team of outreach and social workers, and peers provide critical connections for individuals who have recently experienced opioid overdose or are at high risk for opioid overdose to substance use care and support.

We help clients with navigation to appropriate services, overdose prevention education, and more.

This role does not involve long-term case management services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight and coordination of Substance Use service delivery
  • Recruitment and selection of staff using human resources policies and procedures
  • Development of policies and procedures
  • Coordination of care and facilitation of case planning
Qualifications:
  • Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers
  • Master of Social Work from an accredited School of Social Work
  • Five years' recent related experience providing mental health and substance use clinical services in community-based settings, including one year of leadership/supervisory experience
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes
Salary:

$55,000 - $65,000 per annum (estimated salary range based on location and industry standards)
