About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team in the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio. As a member of our clinical team, you will collaborate with colleagues to determine team goals and objectives, participate in the evaluation of team effectiveness, and solve problems.

The successful candidate will assess, diagnose, and treat patients in a tertiary care setting who present with actual or potential impairments, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities. You will educate and communicate with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers regarding health promotion, physiotherapy treatment, and pain management.

The Physiotherapist will provide supervision and evaluation of physiotherapy students, and supervision of physiotherapy assistants and aides. The incumbent may be required to provide services throughout the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy or an acceptable equivalent from a recognized school of Physiotherapy. You must be currently registered with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapy and eligible for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.

Continuing education courses in areas of interest are an asset, and maintaining current certification in CPR is required. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, and competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.

Hours and Compensation

This is a short-assignment, part-time (70%) position with 52.5 hours bi-weekly. The compensation for this role is $42.89 hourly.
