Job Title: Apprentice Roofer

Flynn Canada Ltd. is seeking a skilled Apprentice Roofer to join our team. As an Apprentice Roofer, you will assist experienced roofers in installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of roofing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the installation of built-up roofing systems, including asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
  • Help install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings
  • Assist in the installation of single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions
  • Participate in the repair or replacement of single-ply roofing systems
  • Learn from experienced roofers and develop skills in roofing trades
  • Assist in the installation and repair of metal roofs using hand and power tools
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in roofing trades
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy, dusty, and outdoors environments
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to work as a team player
  • Dependability and ability to handle heavy loads
  • Fast-paced environment and physically demanding work
