Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Supervisor to join our team at Randstad Canada. As a Payroll Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising a team of payroll technicians, completing payroll cycles, and preparing various payroll-related journal entries. You will also analyze payroll-related general ledger accounts, manage taxable benefits, and review discrepancies to ensure accurate payroll. Additionally, you will verify and approve payments to various organizations, assist in updating training data, and manage the CNESST Régime Rétrospectif financial file. If you have experience working with Nethris or other ERP systems, proficiency in Excel, and ACP certification or an academic degree relevant to payroll, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the team of payroll technicians
  • Complete payroll cycle for non-unionized head office employees
  • Complete payroll cycle for unionized and non-unionized
  • Prepare various payroll-related journal entries
  • Analyze payroll-related general ledger accounts
  • Manage taxable benefits
  • Review discrepancies to ensure accurate payroll
  • Verify and approve payments to various organizations
  • Assist in updating training data as required
  • Manage the CNESST Régime Rétrospectif financial file
  • Produce various reports for internal, external and statistical requests
  • Produce annual government reports
  • Support the implementation of special projects
  • Participate in the standardization of processes and procedures

Qualifications
  • ACP certification or academic degree relevant to payroll (an asset)
  • 5 to 10 years' experience in a similar position
  • Experience working with Nethris or other ERP systems (an asset)
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Bilingual (an asset)
