About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Metallurgist Superintendent to join our Concentrator Team in Thompson, MB. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to a team of professional engineers and technologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance Concentrator operations.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure procedures are current and provide technical support to monitor and control process variables.
  • Generate production and metallurgical reports, manage forecasting, and perform metallurgical accounting efforts.
  • Identify and investigate metallurgical defects, develop action plans to resolve issues, and eliminate defects.
  • Monitor process parameters, take corrective action, and advise operating Superintendents as needed.
  • Provide technical resources and support to projects, including participating on teams and leading projects.
  • Participate in short and long-range planning, provide input to Managers' plans, and prepare scopes of work and business cases for capital and R&D requests.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree in Metallurgical, Chemical, or Mineral Processing field.
  • Minimum 8 years of leadership experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, strong process knowledge, and ability to motivate and collaborate with others.
