At Dollarama L.P., we're seeking a talented Assistant Store Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled leader who can drive business growth and provide exceptional customer service.
Job Summary:
The Assistant Store Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing daily retail store operations, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and achieving sales goals. In the absence of the Store Manager, this individual acts as the Manager on Duty (MOD), responsible for managing staff, executing daily operational tasks, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail store operations
- Manage staff and ensure effective execution of daily operational tasks
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- In the absence of the Store Manager, act as the Manager on Duty (MOD)
- Recruit and train new employees

Daily Tasks:
- Assist the Store Manager in daily operations and staff management
- Help with store merchandizing, shelf stocking, and boxing/unboxing daily shipments
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues
- Train, coach, and develop employees
- Perform cash management, store opening, and closing duties as needed
- Assign tasks to the team
- Ensure store safety and cleanliness standards are maintained
- Conduct managers on duty tasks: ensure daily breaks, time, and attendance are taken
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Implement and maintain visual merchandizing standards based on company strategy
- Responsible for the hiring and performance management process
Requirements:
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in the retail industry
- At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role
- Open availability required (day, evening, weekend)
- Ability to efficiently organize time and manage priorities
- Good leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and high-volume environment
Salary:$50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
