Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Instructor II - Environmental Education to join our team at Conservation Halton. As a key member of our conservation programs team, you will be responsible for delivering educational programs and activities that promote environmental awareness and conservation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver educational programs and activities for diverse audiences, including children, adults, and community groups.
  • Collaborate with our conservation team to design and implement programs that promote environmental awareness and conservation.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for all program participants.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of new programs and initiatives that meet the changing needs of our community.
  • Maintain program equipment and supplies, and ensure that all program materials are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Perform related duties as required to support the conservation programs team.
Requirements
  • Background in education, ecology, environmental studies, or a related field.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience in resource interpretation, teaching, or outdoor education.
  • Proven commitment to providing superior customer service.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).
