Job Title: Parts Warehouse/Driver

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Laborer to join our team at Western Star Trucks. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient processing of incoming orders, accurate inventory management, and timely delivery of parts to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process incoming orders by unloading carriers/couriers and inspecting the condition of incoming freight.
  • Complete orders in priority sequence and shelve all orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Resolve discrepancies and ensure pick lists are processed in a timely fashion.
  • Utilize available tools and technologies to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Load and unload customer vehicles, including the use of forklifts as required.
  • Ensure the warehouse is clean and organized, and package cores and returns for shipment.
  • Inventory cycle counting as per schedule and learn and retain product codes and placement in the warehouse.
  • Assist customers and co-workers in all areas of the warehouse, providing a high level of customer service in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Report all safety concerns, accidents, or incidents to the supervisor or manager immediately.
  • Deliver/pick up parts orders as required when backfilling delivery drivers.

Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 60Lbs.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a minimum of 5 years driving experience.
  • Clean drivers abstract required.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work flexible hours to accommodate department demands.
  • Able to work both indoors and outdoors, and wear required PPE.
  • Ability to operate various equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts.
