Your Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist to join the Acute and Critical Care team at the Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge, Alberta. As a Respiratory Therapist I, you will work to full scope of practice providing respiratory care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to assist in the diagnosis and management of patients of all ages with cardiopulmonary and related disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients and develop and implement respiratory therapy care plans
  • Collaborate with various clinical teams and groups to enhance clinical outcomes
  • Provide training and assist healthcare providers in the use and care of respiratory equipment
  • Educate patients and their families regarding diseases, medications, equipment, and treatments

Requirements:

  • Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA)
  • Relevant degree
  • 2 or more years of Critical Care Respiratory Therapy experience in the past 10 years
  • Neonatal invasive and non-invasive ventilation experience in the past 5 years
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
  • Current PALS certification
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Competency in Arterial line insertion
  • Competency in Adult intubation
  • Experience with Connect Care/Epic documentation system
