Business Development Leader for Installment Lending and Cheque Cashing

Job OverviewThe Business Development Leader will be responsible for overseeing and guiding multiple segments of our product portfolio, including Installment Lending and Cheque Cashing within North America. This role requires thought leadership for business line strategy and enabling the execution of initiatives to deliver on financial plans. With full P&L ownership, this individual will drive the growth of our commercial business.
This position involves building out product roadmaps, driving market share growth, and implementing strategic plans to achieve business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess experience in product development, omnichannel distribution, and knowledge of product management strategies. Strong analytical capabilities and relationship management skills are also essential.
We are seeking an experienced professional with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferably with a graduate degree. Demonstrated experience in the alternative financial services space is considered an asset. Tableau proficiency is required to manage business insights and drive performance.
Key Responsibilities- Ownership of the product roadmap for Canadian and US Installment lending & core Cheque Cashing business - personal and commercial.
- Build out product roadmap for Installment loan to grow market share.
- Develop small business and commercial Cheque Cashing program – driving synergies to push cross-product utilization.
- Plan and strategize internal and external growth opportunities, testing new channels and acquisition strategies.
- Drive robust and reliable insights, utilizing Tableau to manage business insights and drive performance.
- Manage regulatory compliance aspects of products.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and stay up-to-date on new market initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to build and implement marketing initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; graduate degree highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in product development, product management strategies, and omnichannel distribution.
- Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in Tableau.
- Experience in the alternative financial services space considered an asset.
- Excellent relationship management skills and ability to manage complex problems.
