Job Title: Engineering Technologist

Are you a skilled engineer looking for a challenging role in a dynamic team? Do you have a passion for designing and developing innovative solutions for complex problems? We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technologist to join our team at Ainsworth, a subsidiary of GDI.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project managers and sales teams to gather information and conduct engineering tasks.
  • Design and develop panel layouts, network layouts, and wiring diagrams using Ainsworth engineering tools.
  • Select materials and components to meet project requirements, specifications, and customer standards.
  • Submit material order forms and develop project commissioning checklists.
  • Develop and implement project startup, checkout, and commissioning procedures.
  • Utilize Ainsworth and customer standard programs for designing projects.
  • Functional test programming to ensure compliance with specified sequences of operation and industry standards.
  • Maintain personal accessibility and communicate with field technicians, office sales, and Ainsworth employees.
  • Work with project managers to ensure timely issuance of as-built documents and project-specific close-out documents.
  • Maintain knowledge of Delta hardware, software, tools, and applications.
  • Analyze and advise owners and contractors on control application strategy and available options.
  • Locate and use resources on issues beyond personal technical expertise.
  • Participate in team and engineering meetings, contribute input and feedback, and drive improvements in company processes and methods.
Main Skills Required:
  • University degree in engineering or related field.
  • Strong leadership skills to support direct and indirect reports and broader business directives.
  • Excellent understanding of HVAC Control Systems, Building Technology, and energy-related tools.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, technical, and financial skills.
  • Working experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint software programs.
  • Ability to work in a complex fast-paced environment, dealing with multiple projects and clients.
  • Experience working with other consultants and contractors, and coordination of integrated projects.
  • Knowledgeable regarding governing building, electrical, and mechanical codes, ASHRAE, and NFPA standards.
