About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Electrical and Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the CTO Office, you will spearhead critical projects, addressing high-priority technical challenges.

Your expertise in designing, testing, and verifying electromechanical systems for diverse sensing platforms will be instrumental in supporting various technical teams, driving innovation across the organization.

You will find yourself tackling software one day, hardware and mechanical issues the next, with a wide range of responsibilities including PCB design, MCU development, aroma generation platforms, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Testing: Develop robust electromechanical systems for our sensing platform, including PCBs, MCUs, and aroma generation platforms.
  • Validation and Verification: Lead the testing and validation processes for our devices, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and meet performance standards.
  • Software Development: Use your skills in electronic development to build new and improved hardware for our team.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Maintain and troubleshoot existing systems to ensure ongoing high performance.
  • Documentation: Document all processes, designs, and test results in a clear, organized manner for easy access and understanding by the entire team.
Requirements
  • A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in an automation development environment, preferably focused on electromechanical or pneumatic systems, particularly for medical-grade applications.
  • Strong background in chemistry, with the ability to apply this knowledge to lab system design and operation.
  • Proven experience in designing, testing, and validating electromechanical systems.
  • Solid understanding of control systems, sensors, actuators, and embedded systems.
  • Experience working with eCAD tools like Altium.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for system design and analysis (Solidworks)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Proficiency in software development languages such as Python and JavaScript.
  • Experience with data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly document and present findings.
