Job Description

As a Logistics Coordinator Intern at Second Bind, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and facilitating the supply chain operations of our company. This involves coordinating personnel and processes to achieve effective and efficient services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Examine incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Process, package, and ship orders accurately and promptly
  • Organize stocks and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demands
  • Inspect products for defects and damages to maintain quality standards
  • Organize warehouse space daily to optimize storage capacity
  • Receive, unload, and place incoming inventory items correctly
  • Build shelves and boxes as needed to maintain a safe and organized workspace
  • Answer customer queries occasionally to provide excellent customer service
  • Lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally to perform tasks that require physical effort
  • Contribute to cost-reduction initiatives by optimizing routes, reducing wait times, and improving resource utilization
  • Provide support in the use of logistics technologies to ensure seamless system operation and resolve technical issues
  • Assist in coordinating with external vendors or partners to procure logistics technology tools, equipment, or services
  • Assist with problem-solving when logistics processes are disrupted, such as addressing delays, equipment malfunctions, or route issues
  • Document logistics systems, processes, and procedures for future reference and training purposes
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a Supply Chain or related course and eligible for co-op or internship
  • Adequate knowledge of warehouse data systems to effectively manage inventory and track shipments
  • Good customer service skills to provide excellent support to customers
  • Team player with organizational skills to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
