We're seeking a Senior Identity Access Operations Manager to contribute to our mission of ending cyber risk.

This role is based in Kitchener-Waterloo, ON Canada or Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA, with a hybrid schedule (three days per week in office).

About the Role:

The Senior Identity Access Operations Manager will oversee user lifecycle management in Okta and other peripheral systems while ensuring compliance with relevant processes and maintaining high-quality documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the IT team to resolve access requests efficiently.
  2. Interface with various departments to establish and document access profile standards.
  3. Manage identities within Okta.
  4. Control access to applications.
  5. Develop and maintain access profiles aligned with departmental, team, and organizational needs.
  6. Provide operational support for Tier 1 and serve as the primary resource for escalations.
  7. Ensure timely completion of deliverables and maintain high-quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Proficiency in identity management concepts, access controls, role-based access control (RBAC), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and entitlement management.
  • Experience with at least one major IAM platform: ForgeRock, Ping, Okta, SailPoint, Saviynt.
  • Strong knowledge of IAM concepts, standards, and protocols such as SAML, OAuth, LDAP, and RBAC.
  • Programming language skills commonly used in IAM development, including Java, Python, or C#.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based IAM solutions and integration with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Understanding of systems security and troubleshooting.
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify broader trends.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • User profiling techniques for efficient onboarding planning.
  • Ability to problem-solve effectively.
  • Triage methodology for user IT issues and escalation handling.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in IAM, 7+ years preferred.
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Previous audit and compliance experience.
