Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier to join our team at Laxmi Convenience and Grocery Store. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to their inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Cash Handling: Operate a cash register, process transactions, and handle customer payments.
  • Inventory Management: Restock shelves, maintain inventory levels, and ensure a clean and organized store environment.
  • Stockroom and Warehouse: Receive and stock merchandise, maintain a clean and organized stockroom, and assist with inventory management.
  • Point of Sale (POS) System: Operate the POS system, process transactions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals, maintain a positive work environment, and support store operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a retail or grocery store environment.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Basic knowledge of computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Own vehicle.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling.
