About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Planning Professional to join our team in Kingston, Ontario. As a key member of our wealth management team, you will be responsible for developing and deepening client relationships by providing high-quality advice and service within the mass affluent market.

Job Description

This role involves focusing on investment sales and new client acquisition, as well as establishing business development opportunities with prospects and clients within the assigned market area. You will conduct in-depth reviews for assigned clients, including retirement planning, wealth accumulation, and estate planning, utilizing financial planning skills and tools to support our clients' financial goals.

You will also exhibit a natural curiosity to uncover and solve for client needs, deliver trusted financial advice to clients regarding their investments and retirement planning, and demonstrate self-motivation and a goal-oriented mindset when identifying our clients' needs to craft personalized financial strategies and solutions.

Fostering strong engagement, educating clients, offering insights, and delivering expert advice is crucial in this role. You will also exercise a collaborative approach when dealing with peers, clients, and partners, building relationships, focusing on providing a great client experience, and growing long-standing relationships with existing clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth reviews for assigned clients, including retirement planning, wealth accumulation, and estate planning.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Experience in financial planning and investment sales.
  • A degree in a relevant field, such as finance or economics.
  • The Personal Financial Planning (PFP) designation or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification.
  • Certification as an accredited mutual funds professional.
  • The ability to work independently as a self-motivated entrepreneur with minimal supervision.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around $70,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
