Job Description

This remote/travel hybrid role requires you to service our Metal Detection, X-Ray, and Check-weighing products at customer sites throughout Quebec. You will work closely with our internal office support staff to ensure seamless technical communication and resolve any issues that may arise.

Responsibilities:
  • Travel extensively (approximately 80%) to deliver efficient field support to our customers.
  • Verify machine performance through calibration and testing, ensuring peak efficiency and reliability.
  • Commission and test machines using certified procedures, perform preventative maintenance, and emergency services at customer sites.
  • Accurately document and report all service activities, including submitting electronic reports and expense reports.
  • Promote sales of additional Loma product offerings, such as service contracts, spare parts kits, and new equipment leads.
  • Provide timely feedback on equipment reliability and design.
  • Maintain a satisfactory parts inventory and requisition necessary parts for normal duties.
  • Exercise safe working practices and maintain company property, including laptops, cell phones, safety equipment, and tools.
  • Conduct on-site training with customers' personnel to ensure proper equipment operation.
  • Hold meetings with customers, including scope and exit meetings.
  • Participate in rotation of weekend on-call duties and after-hours phone support.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A high school diploma; an associate's degree from a technical school is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of previous experience in field customer service or 4 years of military experience.
  • Knowledge of and experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electro-mechanical equipment in the field.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to complete paperwork, expense reports, etc., efficiently.
  • A self-motivated individual with an inner drive to exceed expectations.
  • Professional communication skills to resolve customer issues and defuse conflicts.
  • A desire to learn diverse products and continually improve product knowledge.
  • Strong ability to use electronic test equipment, such as multi-meters.
  • Ability to accept changes in a fast-paced environment and take a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while managing difficult customer situations.
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per yearBenefits
