Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Wildfire Management Specialist to join our team in a variety of settings and with diverse teams.

The successful candidate will perform a core set of program functions related to prescribed fire and fire management, carrying out and participating in land/resource management decisions and resolving complex stewardship issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in a field related to forestry, resource management or equivalent knowledge, plus 1 year recent related experience;
  • Technical diploma in a field related to forestry, resource management, or equivalent knowledge, plus 3 years recent related experience;
  • Grade 12 plus 5 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and training;
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience;
  • Valid class 5 driver license;
