Teaching Opportunity in Avon Maitland District School Board
The Avon Maitland District School Board is seeking qualified teachers to join our Secondary Occasional Teacher list. As a Secondary Occasional Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of schools throughout the AMDSB Region, including Stratford, Mitchell, St.Mary's, Clinton, Listowel, Goderich, Exeter, and Wingham.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach students in grades 9 through 12
- Work in a flexible schedule, choosing when it fits with your availability
- Collaborate with colleagues in a Board that fosters collaboration, inclusion, and innovation
- Experience a variety of work, with opportunities to work at different schools across Perth & Huron Counties
Requirements:
- Good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (or with an application for OCT Certification in progress)
- Oral and written English proficiency
- Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (dated within six months)
- Availability for half or single day occasional teacher coverage on short notice
