Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and train a team of retail staff to provide excellent customer service and achieve sales targets.
- Oversee the maintenance of inventory levels, including ordering and receiving merchandise.
- Authorize returns and exchanges of merchandise.
- Establish and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Prepare sales reports and other performance metrics to inform business decisions.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure efficient stockroom operations.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of retail staff to ensure seamless store operations.
- Manage cash handling and banking procedures.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff.
- Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities, newcomers and refugees, youth, Veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail management role.
Work Environment:
- Permanent position.
- 30 to 35 hours per week.
- English language required.
