Senior Technical Lead

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Machine Dynamics & Component Integrity team in the Advanced Inspection & Maintenance (AIM) division as a Senior Engineer/Scientist/Technical Officer.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical evaluations and advice to support the operation of power generation facilities.
- Perform advanced finite element modeling, vibration analyses, and assessments to ensure the fitness for service and performance of systems, structures, and components.
- Lead projects and develop work plans to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with field teams to plan and execute testing.
- Develop and maintain written documented processes and procedures to reflect improved operating methods and additions to supported systems.
- University bachelor's degree in engineering or Applied Science (Mechanical/Civil Discipline).
- Candidate must be a fully licensed engineer in the province of Ontario or be eligible to be licensed in the Province of Ontario (P.Eng).
- Minimum of 6-8 years of working experience in finite element modeling.
- Advanced modeling skills and experience in ANSYS and/or ABAQUS software, and CAD skills in SolidWorks software.
- Working knowledge and experience in the application of industry codes/standards, such as ASME B&PV Section III, Section VIII, API-579, B31.1, B31.3, API-579, CSA N285, and CSA B51.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to lead meetings and give presentations.
