Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Planning Analyst to join our Finance team at the Byrnel Group. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, analysis, and reporting financial duties surrounding the annual budget process, incentives, variance analysis, data consolidation, and special projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate leadership skills by consensus-building within and outside of Finance, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Understand business implications and proactively solve problems to deliver Commercial and Operations results.
  • Coordinate business presentations (Month-end close, forecasting, Quarterly Reviews, and Planning).
  • Conduct root cause analysis and uncover core issues using data, then improve and create new measures for forecasting and efficiency.
  • Manage weekly and monthly financial close, all planning, forecasting, and reporting models and their continuous improvement.
  • Review and reconcile P/L, B/S, and supplemental data with the corporate HFM system.
  • Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure accurate, automated, and timely decision data.
  • Provide operational support for Sales through commission plan design, calculations, accrual management, and payment.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP, financial analysis techniques, and budgeting/forecasting processes.
  • Strong PC skills including advanced knowledge of HFM, JDE, Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, and PowerBI.
  • Strong financial/cost analysis and budgeting/forecasting skills.
  • Self-direction and organization skills critical to achieve month-end reporting deadlines.

Salary Range:

$75,000 - $90,000 per annum, based on experience. 6-month contract with strong potential for transition into a permanent position, located in Mississauga/Toronto, Ontario.
