About the Job

C.F.R Dorchester inc. is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machine tools and equipment to produce high-quality parts and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand production requirements.
  • Operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to fabricate parts and products.
  • Set up and adjust production machinery and tools to ensure accurate and efficient production.
  • Maintain and repair precision measuring instruments and equipment to ensure accurate measurements and quality control.
  • Document and report any deviations from specifications and tolerances.
  • Verify dimensions of parts and products using precision measuring instruments.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth production and quality control.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a machining or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of machine tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
