Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Epitec Inc. This is a hybrid position that requires expertise in data analytics and engineering.

About the Role

  • As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing solutions using data from various sources and presenting results in an appropriate format.
  • You'll work in a fast-paced environment with high-volume data processing, where quality and attention to detail are crucial.
  • You will identify and validate upstream data quality issues before building analysis models.
  • Our agile product development environment includes stand-up meetings, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data pipelines using GCP data analytics stacks (Big Query, DataFlow, CloudSQL, DBT, CloudRun, Cloud Schedule etc.).
  • Develop data visualization tools (Looker, PowerBI etc.) to present insights effectively.
  • Analyze data via SQL (MS SQL Server or equivalent alternatives) to identify trends and patterns.
  • Program in Python, R, or C# to extract, transform, and load data processes with various data types and protocols.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in data engineering and analytics.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, or C#. Knowledge of data visualization tools like Looker or PowerBI.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
