Accounts Receivable Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team at CB Canada. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing and processing financial transactions, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reconcile bank accounts and post financial data in various ledgers
  • Identify and resolve delinquent customer accounts through written correspondence, phone contact, and other means
  • Provide information to shippers, customers, and other stakeholders
  • Test documents and codes
  • Perform general accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures
  • Represent the company's values, culture, and mission
  • Contact clients to resolve payment issues and assist in setting up payment plans
  • Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
Requirements:
  • Fully bilingual in English & French
  • Efficient in ERP systems
  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
  • Accounting Principles experience highly desired
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Outlook
  • Command of Microsoft Excel
  • Financial analysis experience preferred
  • Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
  • Proven knowledge of Balance Sheet Reviews
  • General proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred
