Heavy Duty Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our commercial trucks and transport equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on commercial trucks and transport equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company policies, manufacturer, and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Collaborate with other team members to optimize fleet performance and minimize downtime.
Requirements:
  • Red Seal certification required.
  • Proficiency in servicing transmissions, rear ends, running gear, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on mixer trucks is an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and willingness to attain a Class 3 driver's license.
  • Must possess a complete set of mechanics tools.
  • Understanding of CVSE inspection requirements.
  • Proficient computer skills with MS Office.
  • Experience with formal maintenance programs an asset.
  • Knowledge of safe work procedures and ability to follow Company policies.
