Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Carpentry Specialist to join our team at H CLAIR FINISHING CARPENTRY LTD. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with excellent skills in measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling and joining materials.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of physical fitness, as you will be working on various projects involving residential and commercial construction, renovation and maintenance. As a Carpentry Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, erecting walls and roof systems, fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Prepare tenders and quotations
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Supervise other workers
- Estimate costs and materials

Work Environment:

The work environment will be fast-paced and physically demanding, with frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and working in noisy and dusty conditions. You will be required to work at various locations, including construction sites, and may be required to work overtime to meet deadlines.

Terms and Conditions:
