About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter - Concrete Forms Specialist to join our team at EllisDon Forming Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for reading blueprints, measuring, cutting, and assembling materials to build foundations, install floor beams, and erect walls and roof systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites
  • Train and supervise apprentices
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings
Work Environment

As a Carpenter - Concrete Forms Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to work at heights, handle heavy loads, and meet tight deadlines.

Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in carpentry and concrete forming
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
  • Physical stamina to work in a demanding environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
