Project Manager Opportunity

A leading general contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Project Supervisor with a strong background in project management to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of various construction projects across Edmonton, AB. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of construction procedures, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality results.

About the Role:
The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously. Key responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating with project stakeholders, engineers, architects, and clients to determine project specifications
  • Negotiating contracts, awarding subcontracts, and managing subcontractors
  • Reviewing shop drawings for coordination and submitting RFIs and Submittals
  • Developing project plans, including manpower, equipment, and material requirements
  • Coding job costs and providing monthly financial project status reports
  • Chairing project meetings and developing and updating project schedules
  • Supervising staff and performing other duties as assigned by the General Manager

Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Commercial/Residential Project Manager
  • In-depth understanding of construction and project management principles
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Experience with Worksafe BC safety standards and good knowledge of MS Office (including MS Project)
  • Familiarity with Vista by Viewpoint is an asset, as is PMP or equivalent certification
  • A Red Seal trade qualification and valid Driver's License are also assets

What We Offer:
