Key Responsibilities

As a Research Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting Humber College's recognition of prior learning initiatives. This involves collecting, organizing, analyzing and visualizing data and discipline-specific information related to recognition of prior learning.

You will also be responsible for synthesizing the results of your research and communicating key findings to the Associate Dean. The incumbent is accountable for providing data-informed reports and guidelines to ensure the efficient and effective execution of new RPL processes for Humber's academic Faculties.

Key Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong background in research and analysis, preferably with an undergraduate degree in the Social Sciences or Education.
  • Three to five years of relevant working experience as a research assistant or related role, with experience in writing literature reviews, mining data and information, developing presentations, and analyzing data using means and frequencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and experience with MS Access and SPSS considered an asset.
  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
