Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Development Associate to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our Corporate Development team, you will play a vital role in helping us achieve our strategic growth objectives.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development, evaluation, and execution of mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, and joint venture opportunities. This will involve conducting market research, analyzing financial data, and preparing insightful presentations to assess the market landscape and potential target companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior business leaders, external advisors, and counterparties
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis to spark idea generation and support the development of inorganic growth plans
  • Prepare thoughtful business cases, including financial and strategic analyses, to inform decision-making
  • Foster collaboration between RBC's business units and functions through regular engagement and idea generation sessions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Business/Finance/Economics/Math/Engineering or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in corporate finance or M&A, preferably within an M&A team in a financial services organization, investment bank, or accounting firm
  • Advanced financial modeling skills, including valuation analysis
  • Strong initiative to undertake comprehensive analysis and prepare insightful presentation materials

Salary Range
