Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Artisan Painter to join our team at Century Painting Services. As an experienced painter, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted. Your role will also involve repairing cracks and holes, mixing paint to desired colour and texture, and measuring, cutting, and applying wallpaper and other fabric to walls.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and paint surfaces to a high standard, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Repair cracks and holes on walls and ceilings to create a seamless finish.
  • Mix and apply paint to the correct colour and texture, taking into account the specific requirements of the project.
  • Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, ensuring a precise fit and finish.
  • Advise clients on colours and choice of wall coverings, taking into account their personal preferences and budget.
  • Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging to ensure safe access to high surfaces.
  • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces, using the correct techniques and equipment.
  • Estimate costs and materials for each project, ensuring accurate budgets and timelines.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
  • Skills: Attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, ability to distinguish between colours, bending, crouching, kneeling, physically demanding.
Work Environment:
