Cybernamix inc is seeking a skilled Computer Network Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering our local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking security, internet protocols, and information technology. You will be responsible for implementing data, software, and hardware security procedures, performing routine network start-up and close-down, and maintaining control records.

In addition to your technical skills, you will also be responsible for providing problem-solving services to network users, responding to requests for help and information from website visitors and designers, and performing web-server backup and recovery operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and administer LANs, WANs, mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment
  • Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures
  • Perform routine network start-up and close-down and maintain control records
  • Provide problem-solving services to network users
  • Respond to requests for help and information from website visitors and designers
  • Perform web-server backup and recovery operations

Requirements:

  • College/CEGEP education
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Willing to relocate
  • Help desk experience
  • Consulting firm experience
  • Information technology (IT) infrastructure experience
