At KPMG Canada, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Law team. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional support to our legal professionals, ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage time, resources, workflow, and deadlines of legal professionals, including opening new files, conducting conflict searches, and maintaining a filing system.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of legal professionals to deliver timely and accurate results.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of time and expense reports.
  • Receive, digitize, and direct all KPMG correspondence.
  • Provide general administrative support to legal professionals, including filing, answering the telephone, making travel arrangements, and photocopying documents.

Requirements:

  • College diploma in a legal assistant program or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, working in a professional business law-focused legal environment.
  • Relevant experience in managing and supporting senior leadership, preferably gained within a legal/professional/corporate services environment.
  • Excellent commitment to providing quality and responsive customer service.
  • Outstanding time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills, gained in a high-volume environment with competing demands and constant changes.
  • Proven ability to take responsibility and ownership for tasks.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Proven team player with the ability to create strong working relationships at various levels and a flexible approach to work.
  • Superior communication skills, while maintaining the highest level of personal and professional integrity.
