Job Title: Head Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Head Teacher to join our team at Prophet River First Nation. As a key member of our instructional team, you will be responsible for providing instructional services and support to students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective instructional programs for students
  • Provide classroom supervision and management
  • Assess and record students' progress
  • Communicate regularly with families about students' progress
  • Participate in regular staff meetings to support the smooth running and administration of the school
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor of Education Degree
  • Valid B.C. Teaching Certificate and membership in the BC Teacher's Federation
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities is beneficial
  • Experience working with individuals with special needs and/or vulnerable students is beneficial
