Job Overview

Blackbird Security Inc. is seeking a skilled Tactical Security Guard to join our team in Regina, SK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a strong security presence to deter crime and theft.
  • Identify, monitor, and approach subjects who may have unpaid merchandise.
  • Document theft and other security violations.
  • Patrol the premises, provide access control, and respond to emergency situations in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Perform safety and security duties with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents.
  • Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly.
  • Provide excellent customer service to our clients, customers, and patrons.
  • Respond to emergencies and escalate to law enforcement agencies as required.

Requirements:

  • A valid security license is required.
  • Possess a keen interest in asset protection and crime prevention.
  • Experience with arrests and detaining shoplifting.
  • Previous security experience in a retail environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision.
  • Willingsness to patrol and stand for the duration of the entire shift.

Pay and Schedule:

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $15.50-$17.00, with a schedule that includes night shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.

Licence/Certification:

A valid driving license and security certificate are required.

Work Location:

This role is based in Regina, SK, and requires the ability to commute or relocate before starting work.
