Protective Service Officer

Blackbird Security Inc. is seeking a skilled Tactical Security Guard to join our team in Regina, SK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish a strong security presence to deter crime and theft.
- Identify, monitor, and approach subjects who may have unpaid merchandise.
- Document theft and other security violations.
- Patrol the premises, provide access control, and respond to emergency situations in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Perform safety and security duties with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
- Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents.
- Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly.
- Provide excellent customer service to our clients, customers, and patrons.
- Respond to emergencies and escalate to law enforcement agencies as required.
Requirements:
- A valid security license is required.
- Possess a keen interest in asset protection and crime prevention.
- Experience with arrests and detaining shoplifting.
- Previous security experience in a retail environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently without close supervision.
- Willingsness to patrol and stand for the duration of the entire shift.

Pay and Schedule:
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $15.50-$17.00, with a schedule that includes night shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.

A valid driving license and security certificate are required.

This role is based in Regina, SK, and requires the ability to commute or relocate before starting work.
