Baker Job Description

Ricky's Cafe is seeking a skilled Baker to join our team. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dough and batters for various baked goods according to recipes or special customer orders
  • Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Bake mixed dough and batters to produce high-quality products
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and safe operations
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to meet customer expectations
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and quality standards
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure adequate stock levels
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a baking or food service environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
