Aerospace Safety Professional

Drake International, a leading recruitment and HR partner, is seeking a highly skilled Health and Environmental Leader to join their team. As a key member of the corporate management team, this individual will play a vital role in shaping and overseeing the Safety, Health, and Environmental programs across two Canadian business locations.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead commitment to safety and sustainability by ensuring compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental Legislation.
- Stay ahead of regulatory changes and advise on impacts to operations.
- Develop safety programs to minimize injury rates.
In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing environmental controls, performing audits, and reporting on safety, environment, and waste compliance performance. They will also provide support to one US business location in implementing safety programs and influence the implementation of Safety, Health and Environmental initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field and have 7-10 years of leadership experience within Health & Safety. They should be proficient in Canadian health and safety legislation and programs and have exceptional communication, facilitation, and training skills in the health and safety areas.
