Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at Food and Beverage Company of Kanata Inc.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in the food service industry, with a strong background in restaurant operations, management, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Organize and maintain inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth execution.
Supervision and Teamwork:

The successful candidate will supervise a team of 5-10 employees, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure their success.

A strong focus on teamwork and collaboration is essential, as you will work closely with other departments to achieve company goals.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

You must be able to work under pressure, making quick decisions and adapting to changing situations.

Support for Newcomers and Refugees:

This role involves supporting social and labor market integration of newcomers and refugees, including facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.

You will also recruit newcomers and refugees who were displaced by conflict or natural disasters, such as those from Ukraine or Afghanistan.

Support for Youths:

You will offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, helping them develop their skills and confidence in the workplace.

Support for Indigenous People:

The successful candidate will develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations, promoting mutual understanding and respect.

Compensation and Benefits:

This permanent, full-time position offers an estimated annual salary of $65,000-$80,000, based on industry standards and location.
