Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with instruction in the classroom to support the educational and developmental needs of children.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment that promotes the well-being of children.
  • Develop and implement engaging activities that encourage children to participate and learn.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, management, and families to ensure a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices in early childhood education.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and organized classroom environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Early Childhood Assistant Certification or Registered Early Childhood Educator a plus.
  • Meet provincial requirements for childcare employment.
  • Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR certification.
  • Current immunization and health assessment as per local Minister of Health requirements.
  • Experience in program planning and implementation a plus.
