About the Role

This Manager position will play a vital role in growing and sustaining financial support for JA Southern Alberta. You'll work closely with colleagues to develop strategies that build strong relationships with donors, secure funds, and drive engagement. This role requires someone with a passion for mission-driven work and a strategic mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fundraising Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive fund development strategy to meet short- and long-term funding goals. Ensure alignment with organizational objectives and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Donor Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and corporate partners, creating meaningful opportunities for engagement. Foster trust and loyalty among stakeholders.
  • Grant Writing and Proposals: Prepare and submit compelling grant applications and proposals to secure funding from diverse sources. Conduct thorough research and analysis to optimize success rates.
  • Event Planning: Oversee fundraising events, including planning, budgeting, and managing event logistics to achieve revenue targets. Ensure seamless execution and exceptional guest experience.
  • Data Management: Track and analyze fundraising metrics, ensuring accurate donor records and effective use of CRM (Salesforce) software. Identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven strategies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with program managers, marketing, and finance teams to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals. Communicate effectively and foster a culture of collaboration.

About You

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in fundraising, development, or related fields, with a proven track record of meeting fundraising goals. A Bachelor's degree in arts, Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with donors and build authentic relationships are essential. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as experience with grant writing, sponsorship solicitation, and managing donor databases, are highly valued.
