About the Role:

TDT Limited is seeking a skilled Rough Carpenter to join our team. As a Rough Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create structures and fixtures
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Supervise other workers and ensure a safe working environment
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in the building trades
  • Ability to work at heights, in dusty environments, and outdoors
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
