About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Coordinator to join our team at Aecon Group Inc. for the Elevated Guideway Project of the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a major infrastructure project that will transform the community and make a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute communication plans to engage stakeholders and community members affected by the construction activities.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to create public information materials, such as feature stories, backgrounders, fact sheets, and digital content.
  • Draft and implement plans for community engagement, community benefits, and special events to mark and celebrate project milestones.
  • Write compelling and relevant content for the Project's social media channels, website, and internal and external newsletters.
  • Identify and track project-related issues and recommend plans to address them.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in communications, public relations, marketing, or journalism.
  • Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in communications, including experience on infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of traditional and social media platforms, analytical tools, and social media best practices.
