Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Urban Thai Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes and utensils are sanitized and stored properly, and assisting with food preparation and presentation.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all kitchen areas are clean and sanitized, including work surfaces, cupboards, and equipment
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit as needed
  • Package take-out food and stock refrigerators and salad bars
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, and polish floors
  • Assist with food preparation and presentation as needed
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
