Medical Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate medical assistant to join our well-established medical clinic in downtown Mississauga.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for collaborating with multiple board-certified physicians on patient care, performing nursing procedures under physician supervision, and assisting physicians in exam rooms to ensure seamless patient flow.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with multiple board-certified physicians on patient care.
  • Perform nursing procedures under physician supervision.
  • Assist physicians in exam rooms, ensuring seamless patient flow.

In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be responsible for escorting patients, interviewing them, taking vital signs, and documenting information in the E-Chart. The individual will also administer allergy shots, vaccinations, and other treatments as needed, prepare E-Charts for physicians prior to patient appointments, and provide updates and perform certain procedures such as blood draws and wart removal.

The Medical Assistant will also manage phone calls, provide feedback, and direct patients who require urgent attention.

Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of the healthcare field and medical terminology.
  • Excellent customer service and phone etiquette skills.
  • Able to maintain organized systems and ensure timely patient flow.
  • Familiarity with EMR environments, preferably Oscar EMR.
Education and Certification:
  • Medical background (nurse) or medical assistant certification an asset.
  • EMR training is required.
