Job Summary:

The Staffing Clerk is a key member of the Human Resource team at Prairie Mountain Health, responsible for coordinating the scheduling of staff, scheduling changes, staff replacement, and editing time card data into the scheduling system. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and coordinate replacement staff for vacation, sick leave, statutory holidays, overtime, and other approved leaves of absence, in consultation with managers and in accordance with Human Resource Policies and Collective Agreements;
- Communicate all changes to the department involved;
- Collaborate with Human Resources and other managers to resolve staffing issues;
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly schedules as required;
- Prepare and enter all time card edits;
- Prepare shift schedules in accordance with applicable collective agreements;
- Maintain accurate information on staff replacement and document all schedule changes on the master schedule;

Requirements:

- Grade 12 education (Manitoba standards);
- Completion of a business or administration certificate, degree, or diploma relevant to the position;
- Two years of experience providing customer service in a professional setting;
- One year of experience working in a staff scheduling capacity;
- Working knowledge of collective agreements applicable to Prairie Mountain Health contracts;
- Manitoba Class 5 Driver's License, or equivalent from the province of residence, and access to a personal vehicle to provide service within Prairie Mountain Health;
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), as well as Internet applications and other Information Technology;
- Demonstrated organizational skills, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities;
- Ability to respect and promote confidentiality, cultural diversity, and positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and the interdisciplinary team;
