Job Summary

Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and experienced sewer and watermain foreman to join our team at Kieswetter Excavating Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading small to medium-sized crews and ensuring the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and execute all functions of sewer crews to ensure quality control and workmanship
  • Interpret drawings, communicate with team members, and execute tasks efficiently
  • Coordinate equipment and labor demands with management
  • Inspect work, correct errors, and ensure accuracy
  • Comply with company safety programs and lead by example
  • Organize project details, set performance objectives, and communicate any discrepancies or errors
  • Plan ahead and anticipate project requirements

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in supervisor/foreman level of sewer and watermain work
  • 5+ years of managing small to medium-sized crews and workflow
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment, safe operating practices, and procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Experience in installations of elevations, pipe installations, and grades
  • Ability to communicate, give direction, and follow up
  • Safety-oriented with ability to train new workers and communicate/mitigate hazards

Work Schedule and Location

  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability
  • Ability to work 10-14 hours a day
