Brandt is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team in Medicine Hat and surrounding areas. As a key member of our Material Handling Lethbridge location, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of material handling equipment and attachments. Your duties will include evaluating the working condition of equipment, diagnosing issues, assembling and disassembling parts, ordering necessary components, and performing repairs. You will also be responsible for using secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently, as well as utilizing related instruments, hand and power tools, and computer systems. Additionally, you will accurately document all machine information, actions taken, and time spent on work orders. Your safety record will be paramount, as you continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards. You will also utilize computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis, and use parts catalogues to locate and order parts. Finally, you will road test equipment and check attachment operation as required. To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to meet physical demands. Previous mechanical experience in a material handling environment is preferred, as is certification as a Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade. You must also be committed to customer service and service excellence.
